It's ya boi, The Northern Lion, Fireicey, comin' atcha with a brand spankin' tournament series: Aether Mode.
This will be a weekly to bi-weekly series with gimmicky rulesets. If you have any questions about the rules you can ping me (Fireicey#0374) in the RoA EU discord.
The first tournament's ruleset is: Fiery Conquest.
Only fire characters allowed.
You must win each match with a different character.
In a Bo3 you must win with 2 characters, e.g. Clairen and Zetterburn, in a Bo5 you must win with every fire character, Zetterburn, Forsburn and Clairen.
- Check in opens 30 minutes before tournament "begins." Failure to check in will result in automatic disqualification. Once check-in has finished, please be patient as some matches may have to be adjusted. Do Not begin matches until you receive notification that the tournament has officially started.
- Double Elimination format
- Sets are Bo3, except for Top 8 which is Bo5.
- Stages are picked using the in game method
- DSR is active. You may not go back to a stage you have previously won on, unless the opponent allows it.
- The winner of the previous game must announce a character switch to his opponent before the game is started, the loser must not.
- If your opponent does not respond before 10min have passed after attempted contact they may be subject to disqualification.
- If you encounter unbearable lag, report it to a TO, they will investigate the problem.
